Downside of Dos Dos Santos

There are numerous reports that LA Galaxy is trying to fill one of two vacant DP positions with Jonathan Dos Santos, the younger brother of current Galaxy forward and DP Gio Dos Santos. We don't know if this will actually happen or not, but...I'm going to hypothesize on the potential problems that could come from two brothers playing on the same team. Over the past few years, the Dos Santos' parents have told the media that Gio Dos Santos was so upset that his younger brother didn't...See More

Arellano joins the Galaxy

The LA Galaxy II pipeline is benefitting g the first team more and more everyday. In addition to most members of the newly appointed coaching staff having experience with the USL side, the latest signing, homegrown player Hugo Arellano, also got his professional start with Los Dos. The presence of so many former Los Dos players in the first team makes Onalfo as head coach even more sensical. The transition will undoubtedly be smoother which much of the first team already familiar with him...See More

Making Sense

Now that the emotional dust has settled and the initial shock is over, it's time to make real sense of AJ DeLaGarza's trade to Houston. DeLaGarza is not a horrible player. The team is not discarding him. In fact, the team is making $175,000 in various types of allocation money from DeLaGarza because he is a valuable player. The team likely could have kept him around for another year or so, and he could have served the club well. Nevertheless, no player is immortal, and retirement is an...See More

Is nothing secure?! I was expecting LA Galaxy to gain some players during the SuperDraft. No! As of right now, the team hasn't gained one player, but the team has TRADED AJ DELAGARZA to Houston for targeted allocation money. I'm speechless! As a writers, I try to be reasonable, do research, and write sensibly, but I'm going to unload some half-thought emotion right now. To quote the words of the great Jimmy "Conradinho" Conrad, I AM OUTRAGED!!!! 😤😤😡😤😡😡😡 I'll follow this post up...See More

New Ball and New Neighbors

There's good news and there's potentially bad news for LA Galaxy fans today. The good news is that this year's new MLS ball has been announced. As can be seen in the picture below, the ball blends the American and Candian flags. This is a very nice touch. Far too often, North American leagues are referred to as American soccer leagues despite the fact that plenty of Canadian clubs work to improve the league. In news that could end up being not so good for the Galaxy, the newly named Los...See More

Confidence In Curt

When you follow a team, there are highs and lows. There are points when you are madly in love with everything to do with the club, and there are points when the club is merely your default answer to the question, who do you support. My mad love for LA Galaxy went through a bit of a shaky period for the past few months. Since Bruce Arena and other stalwarts like Robbie Keane have left the club, the club has seemed to be in a bit of a limbo as far as outward appearances are concerned. It...See More

New Coaches

Since Bruce Arena took the LA Galaxy coaching staff with him to the USMNT, the club has had a few vacancies in the coaching department. It had been known for weeks that Curt Onalfo would take over as head coach, and no he has appointed his closest co-workers. The team has two assistant coaches. Ante Razov, who came from the Seattle Sounders, and Rob Becerra, who worked with Onalfo as Los Dos assistant coach, will fill the role. For goal keeper coach, we have another LA Galaxy II coaching...See More

Time Will Tell

Brace yourselves for my rant. I read LA Galaxy content on a daily basis, and I am so tired of all of these publications printing statements that "sources" say about the team's plans for the future season. People say that the Galaxy is trying to get a younger sqaud. People say that the Galaxy is trying to cut spending. As a blogger, I know that people can't always attach their name to a bit of information for various reasons, but I'm really starting to question the validity of all these...See More

New Signing for SJE

Harold Cummings, a Panamanian center back, has been signed by the San Jose Earthquakes. Cummings most recently played with Costa Rican top flight club LD Alajuelense. He has been getting callups from the Panamanian national squad for the past six years. Last season, he scored once and made twenty three appearances with Alajuelense.
