Nirvana - MTV Unplugged in New York

On this day in 1994, Nirvana released their MTV Unplugged in New York album. It features an acoustic performance recorded at Sony Music Studios in New York City on November 18, 1993, for the television series MTV Unplugged. The album was the first to be released following the death of Kurt Cobain - it became the group's most successful posthumous release and won the Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album in 1996.
